Hi all

I know I've done this before, but I can't seem to remember how. I'm using office 2013 and have created a new word file, but I can't save it the way I want to. It is saved and shows up as new Microsoft document. When I go into it and try to use the save as feature to name it something different, I can't seem to figure out how. Any help would be appreciated. Can I just say I hate office 2013? LOL

Control+s brings up the dialog box. You can always try to backspace so nothing is in the box and type the name you want. Then hit enter.

And if you've already saved it, press f12 for the Save As dialogue. This is fairly
standard when compared with other versions of Office. Where things do change
is with the open dialog. I'd recommend using control f12 rather than control o if
you want something similar to previous versions of Office.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. I ended up just going to my list of word documents, and when the focus was on "new Microsoft document" I hit F2 and typed in the name I wanted. That worked just fine. But I'll write the suggestions you both gave me down for use the next time.
